Dairy cattle manure and saw dust often carries out the pollution problems into the environment and the problem should be solved. The objective would find out the information how far compost’s nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium contents and C:N ratio value produced from composting process of blending dairy cattle manure and saw dust. The saw dust used in the composting process was Albizia (Albizia falcata) saw dust. The treatments were one volume (T1) of dairy cattle manure blended with 2 (T2), and 3 (T3) volume of saw dust. The treatments were replicated six times. The data were collected for two months. The content of N, P, and K content of the compost were analyzed using completely randomized design and value of C:N ratio was descriptively discussed.
The research gave results that N, P, and K content, and C:N ratio value from treatment T1 were respectively 1.44±0.09 %, 1.16±0.33%, 2.43±1.40%, and 31:1. The treatment T2 value was respectively 1.29±0.41%, 0.87±0.01%, 0.87±0.25%, and 36:1. And, the value of treatment T3 was respectively 0.97±0.19%, 0.68±0.23%, 1.50±1.13%, and 53:1. The N and P content of treatment T1 and T2 were significant compared to T3 but K content of the third treatments was non significant. The equal volume of dairy cattle manure and saw dust blending carried out the lowest C:N ratio and also is close to the microbe requirement and it was 31:1. The dairy cattle manure and saw dust blending affects on the N and P content but does not affects on the K of the compost produced. It is suggested that the application of composting process using the dairy cattle manure and Albizia saw dust blend should be carried out with 1 volume of the dairy cattle manure and 1 volume of the saw dust.
