About SAMPURASUN

A multidisciplinary forum for resilient agro-livestock systems.

The 1st SAMPURASUN International Conference is an international scientific forum organized by the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Padjadjaran. The conference brings together researchers, lecturers, students, livestock professionals, policymakers, industry representatives, farmers’ organizations, and development partners to exchange scientific knowledge and practical solutions for the advancement of sustainable animal production in collaboration with Asosiasi Ahli Nutrisi Ternak Indonesia (AINI). The name SAMPURASUN reflects the warm and respectful Sundanese greeting traditionally used to welcome guests. It represents the spirit of hospitality, collaboration, and mutual respect that underpins the conference. As an acronym, SAMPURASUN emphasizes multidisciplinary practices, resilient agro-livestock systems, and stronger connections between upstream production and downstream processing, marketing, and consumption.

Why this conference?

Livestock systems face climate change, feed and land limitations, animal diseases, environmental pressures, market uncertainty, food-safety concerns, and growing demand for safe, nutritious, ethical, and traceable animal products. SAMPURASUN provides a platform for scientific findings, technological innovation, research–industry partnerships, and practical livestock solutions.
